About the event
The way we experience our life has several layers:
· our external circumstances
· the thoughts and feelings and sensations that we have in the situations we find ourselves in
· the impressions and associations from our history and environment that pattern how we think and feel, and shape our familiar sense of self
· And the depth of our being, who we really are beneath the surface layers of doing and reacting.
Like the huge mass of an iceberg that is under the ocean’s surface, this vast depth of our inner nature is mostly hidden from our consciousness. When we glimpse it, we are reminded how exquisite and precious we actually are – full of love, peace, strength, beauty, joy, kindness, wisdom and intelligence.
Because all the layers of our experience are precisely and meaningfully connected, we do not need to leave where we are in order to find the richness and freedom of our depths. Inquiry, the main practice of the Diamond Approach, invites you to explore your ordinary experience and discover that your true nature is right here, waiting to reveal itself and to transform your consciousness and your life.
This free event will be presented by Diamond Approach teacher Vivienne Leahy and will be both informative and experiential. All are welcome. If you have questions, feel free to contact Vivienne at vleahynz@gmail.com
The Diamond Approach® has been taught by A.H.Almaas since the 1970s. Inquiry as a spiritual practice is particularly suited to our contemporary times. It requires no beliefs, no adherence to dogma or doctrine, no elaborate rituals. It is a way to find out for yourself, in your own experience, what is really going on.
